IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON & SURREALISM

ST PETER'S CATHEDRAL, 27 KING WILLIAM ROAD, ADELAIDE

This confronting exhibition is a stunning bold statement of colour and form. Influenced by his childhood in Franco's religious Spain, encouraged by his father to pursue  surrealism, Loreto explores his feelings on Christianity, the relationship of Jesus with his father and the crucifixion.  Loreto's obsession with Christ, a subject popular with many artists, is demonstrated strongly in this exhibition.

OPENING NIGHT  Friday 14 August 6pm-9pm.   Special entertainment by gypsy flamenco singer el Titi de Algeciras and Guitarist Aloysius Leeson.

(el Titi de Algeciras is the name Salvador Loreto uses, as in addition to his talent as an artist, he is also Australia's only authentic gypsy flamenco singer.)

MEET the artist - Loreto will be resident artist at the Cathedral daily during the exhibition, from 11am to 3pm.
